Vanilla Bean Paste can be used in place of vanilla extract. The quality of flavor is much better with vanilla bean paste as it doesn't bake out like extracts sometimes can. This vanilla bean paste is the superstar in vanilla cakes and any other vanilla flavored baked goods.
Use this paste in a 1:1 ratio: 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste = 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
